Fluid Delivery Systems

EDI fluid delivery systems filter the coating fluid and provide consistent, non-pulsating pumping. This fluid metering combined with a precise slot die design helps ensure proper coat weight.   EDI combines standard components into a fluid delivery system that is matched to your process and equipment.

A steady fluid flow and consistent metering are very dependent on the type of pump used.

• Gear pump, progressing cavity pump, or pressurized vessel.
• Pump size and type selected based on your specifications.
• Pumping system designed to minimize introduction of air into fluid during operation.
• Explosion proof system where specified by customer.

EDI also provides the other needed components to complete the system.

• System is mounted on EDI’s custom cart for ease of movement and clean-up.
• All necessary pressure indicators and air purge ports are included.
• Filtration system uses cartridge-style filters, with size and type to meet your specification.
• Fluid delivery hoses and 3-way valves at die inlet provided.
• System designed to minimize clean up from spills, including valve location to avoid spills on cart.
