Extrusion Dies Industries, LLC (EDI), an international supplier of flat-die systems for extrusion and web converting, has promoted William Normand to the position of inside sales coordinator, it was announced today by Dennis S. Paradise, vice president of sales and marketing.

In this role Normand will work directly with customers, preparing quotations on die orders, providing technical consulting services, and assisting customers during visits to EDI. At the same time, he will continue in one technical service role as part of EDI’s Rapid Response team.

“The expertise that Bill has acquired in 25-plus years of extrusion and thermoforming experience has enabled him to address die technology from the viewpoints of both the die builder and the processing company,” said Paradise. “He will be a valuable resource for customers, working with them to identify the die system best suited to their requirements and to address a wide range of technical issues.”

Before joining EDI in 2000, Normand spent 17 years working for EDI’s Chippewa Falls neighbor, the extrusion and thermoforming operation of Pactiv Corp. (formerly Amoco Foam Products). Most of his responsibilities at EDI were those of a field service technician, making calls anywhere in the world as customer need arises.
