Strand Dies
Stand dies for plastic pelletizing is designed to provide uniform pellets of resin, following it's extrusion through a strand die face. Whether virgin or reclaimed material, once the resin is extruded and cooled, the strands are cut at a very high speed, yielding pellets of a prescribed size for optimal processing in manufacturing environments.
Nordson EDI strand dies for compounding and pelletizing are manufactured with high-quality chrome plated steel die bodies, stainless steel plates, and manifold designs for specific polymers and melt flow behavior. Each strand die is a custom product that comes with a wide range of options, like low-wear strand plates, explosion-proof and high temperature resistant wiring, liquid control, and manifold designs that incorporate restrictor bars.
