The Product Manager will work closely with our customers, distribution networks, sales and engineering groups to sculpt the strategic directions that ensure our products lead the industry in terms of technology, innovation and value. This position will lead EDI's product management teams in understanding customer requirements, developing product life cycle plans, and executing innovative product launch and support strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have 5-7 years of product management/marketing experience, with demonstrated success working in translating global market needs, leading teams, and developing and implementing product life cycle plans. An educational background in technology and marketing is preferred. Experience in global markets, extrusion, paper and fluid coating and/or plastics industry preferred. Candidates are required to have exceptional presentation and written communication skills.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Department: Manufacturing

If you have a passion for process development and achieving cost improvements in an engineer to order environment, EDI has the position for you! We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who has experience with close tolerance machining and metal removal processes, capital equipment specification and large scale project management. The position will develop and maintain metrics of tooling, productivity, scrap and rework costs for each functional manufacturing area and implement plans to improve them to increase capacity. You will also provide day to day leadership and feedback to other manufacturing engineers, global manufacturing resources and other project resources associated with capital deployment and supplier development.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Proven ability to drive improvements utilizing Lean and/or other principles to achieve established objectives
7-10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience
Demonstrated superior communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Previous leadership experience preferred
Quality Manager
Department: Manufacturing
Status: Full-Time
Location: Headquarters - Chippewa Falls, WI
Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing this individual will be responsible for maintaining and developing Quality oversight for all enterprise wide activities in order to insure the necessary quality of products and customer service is provided in this highly technical engineered to order manufacturing environment.
Develops and executes planning, methods and measurements to insure that products meet customer expectations and that internal processes are capable of consistently meeting these requirements. Implement methods for improving product quality, design, or manufacturing processes. Coordinate activities relating to determining and reporting causes of non-conformance, as well as implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
The Quality Manager is responsible for regularly reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and the daily supervision of the quality technicians and for all aspects of the quality assurance system. International travel to Europe and Asia is required (approximately 10-15%).
Skills and Qualifications:
Ideal candidates have 7-10 years of experience in quality management in a custom engineered products environment with supervisory experience of quality technicians and possess a four year technical diploma. Candidates with metal removal backgrounds that include quality measuring in the micron and submicron range are preferred. Degreed professional with Quality Certifications preferred.

CNC Machinist

WE are seeking experienced CNC MACHINISTS!
- Reads and interprets blueprints, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
- Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
- Up load programs from network to the machine controller or enters commands to operate the machine manually.
- Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to workpiece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
- Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Stops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
- Cleans machine, tooling, and parts. Assists in performing machine maintenance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to work from verbal instructions and/or sketches.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and work instructions.
3-5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist preferred.
Field Service Technician
Status: Full-Time
The Field Service Technician provides on-site technical support for customers to promote EDI technology. The position will do troubleshooting, machine installations, start-ups, and technical counseling including preventative maintenance. Technicians must perform a detailed review of the project assigned prior to departure to insure proper drawings of equipment are attained, have an understanding of function capability for each component and communicate with customer, engineers or technology department if questions exist.
At the customer site, the Technician will perform the maintenance necessary to enable the customer to begin or continue their operation. This may include; replacing defective parts of the machine, adjust clearances, install and or assemble equipment. The Technician will use various hand and power tools, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks to complete the service call.
The Technician will complete a written service report within one week of customer visit. The position will also provide technical support to customers via telephone or other forms of communication while not at on-site customer visits.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of tooling, 3-4 years of experience
- Proven exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to share technical knowledge with customer
- Must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications and product manuals
- Excellent customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of time
- Ability to learn new things quickly
- Self-motivated

- Set-up, adjust and operate extrusion equipment
- Equipment includes; pilot sheet, film and coating lines
- Assist in preparation of extrusion trial plans
- Assist in evaluating the mechanical performance of new extrusion tooling designs
Skills and Qualifications:
Position Requirements include:
- 2 to 4 years of experience as an extrusion line operator (film, sheet or extrusion coating preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with assembly of heavy machinery
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot common extrusion and co-extrusion problems
